The assessment is conducted according to the criteria established by the technical standard UNI CEI EN 301549:2020, which incorporates the WCAG 2.1 guidelines (levels A and AA).

For each requirement, it is indicated whether the website is compliant, non-compliant, partially compliant, or whether the criterion is not applicable.

The areas analysed concern the four fundamental principles of accessibility: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable and Robust.

This document reports, for each accessibility requirement, the status of the website’s compliance and, where necessary, the relevant explanations. In cases where a requirement is not fully met or is only partially met, specific information is provided to allow the user to understand the nature of the issue. The website is committed to progressively intervening to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.

PERCEIVABLE

Information and user interface components must be presented in a way that can be perceived by all users, regardless of sensory abilities.

This means, for example, providing text descriptions for images, captions for videos, and organising content in a way that facilitates reading and understanding, including with assistive technologies.

Text Alternatives

The Website does not provide text alternatives for non-text content. Therefore, requirement 1.1.1 Non-text Content of WCAG 2.1 is not met.

Time-based Media

The Website does not contain multimedia content consisting exclusively of pre-recorded audio or pre-recorded video. Therefore, requirement 1.2.1 Audio-only and Video-only (Prerecorded) of WCAG 2.1 is not applicable.

The Website does not contain pre-recorded videos with spoken content. Therefore, requirement 1.2.2 Captions (Prerecorded) of WCAG 2.1 is not applicable.

The Website does not contain videos with relevant visual elements requiring an audio description. Therefore, requirement 1.2.5 Audio Description (Prerecorded) of WCAG 2.1 is not applicable.

The Website does not contain pre-recorded videos with visual elements requiring additional description. Therefore, requirement 1.2.3 Audio Description or Media Alternative (Prerecorded) of WCAG 2.1 is not applicable.

The Website does not broadcast live audio or video content. Therefore, requirement 1.2.4 Captions (Live) of WCAG 2.1 is not applicable.

Adaptable

The Website uses semantic markup in many sections, but there are still areas that are not correctly structured. Requirement 1.3.1 Info and Relationships of WCAG 2.1 is therefore only partially met.

The order of content on the Website is largely consistent, but there are sections where reading by screen readers does not follow a logical sequence. Requirement 1.3.2 Meaningful Sequence of WCAG 2.1 is therefore only partially met.

The instructions provided for interacting with the Website’s content do not rely exclusively on visual or sensory cues. This ensures that all people, including those with visual or cognitive disabilities, can correctly understand and use the features, in conformity with requirement 1.3.3 Sensory Characteristics of WCAG 2.1.

The Website supports both screen orientations, horizontal and vertical. This allows users to access content regardless of how they hold their device, in conformity with requirement 1.3.4 Orientation of WCAG 2.1.

The input fields on the Website are not associated with standard identifiers that semantically specify their purpose. Therefore, requirement 1.3.5 Identify Input Purpose of WCAG 2.1 is not met.

Distinguishable

Colour is used accessibly in most sections of the Website, through additional indicators that support comprehension. However, in some areas an alternative mode is missing that would make information perceivable without colour perception. Requirement 1.4.1 Use of Colour of WCAG 2.1 is therefore only partially met.

The Website does not contain audio content that starts automatically when the page is opened. Therefore, requirement 1.4.2 Audio Control of WCAG 2.1 is not applicable.

The contrast between text and background is adequate in most sections of the Website, but there are some exceptions that do not meet requirement 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) of WCAG 2.1. The requirement is therefore only partially met.

Text can be correctly enlarged in almost all sections of the Website, but there remain some exceptions where loss of content or functionality occurs. Therefore, requirement 1.4.4 Resize Text of WCAG 2.1 is only partially met.

The text on the Website is presented as real text and not as an image, in conformity with requirement 1.4.5 Images of Text of WCAG 2.1.

The Website’s content adapts correctly to different screen sizes in many sections. However, some areas still present issues that require adaptation. Therefore, requirement 1.4.10 Reflow of WCAG 2.1 is only partially met.

The contrast between non-text graphic content and adjacent elements is generally sufficient on the Website. However, some elements do not fully meet the contrast requirements. Therefore, requirement 1.4.11 Non-text Contrast of WCAG 2.1 is only partially met.

Custom text spacing is supported in most areas of the Website. However, some sections still present display issues, such as overlaps or content clipping. Requirement 1.4.12 Text Spacing of WCAG 2.1 is therefore only partially met.

Most content triggered by hover or focus on the Website is managed in an accessible way. However, some interfaces present issues: in certain sections, additional content is not fully accessible via keyboard or cannot be easily dismissed. Therefore, requirement 1.4.13 Content on Hover or Focus of WCAG 2.1 is only partially met.

OPERABLE

The interface must be operable by all people, including those who cannot use a mouse or traditional input devices.

It is essential to ensure keyboard access, provide clear and stable navigation modes, avoid content that may cause disorientation or adverse reactions, and offer control modes for any time limits.

Keyboard Accessible

Requirement 2.1.1 Keyboard of WCAG 2.1 is only partially met, as most of the Website is keyboard-navigable, but some sections have features that are not fully accessible without the use of a mouse.

In some sections of the Website there are elements that may create keyboard traps or blocks, preventing the user from exiting a component once entered. Therefore, requirement 2.1.2 No Keyboard Trap of WCAG 2.1 is only partially met.

The Website does not use keyboard shortcuts for activating features or navigation. Therefore, requirement 2.1.4 Character Key Shortcuts of WCAG 2.1 does not apply.

Enough Time

The Website does not have features that impose time limits for completing forms, navigating or interacting. Therefore, requirement 2.2.1 Timing Adjustable of WCAG 2.1 does not apply.

The Website allows some moving content to be paused, stopped or hidden, but does not offer this option for all elements. Therefore, requirement 2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide of WCAG 2.1 is only partially met.

The Website does not contain content that flashes more than three times per second, meeting the requirements of criterion 2.3.1 Three Flashes or Below Threshold of WCAG 2.1.

Navigable

The Website does not provide a mechanism to skip repetitive blocks. Therefore, criterion 2.4.1 Bypass Blocks of WCAG 2.1 is not met.

Page titles are present on the Website, but are not always consistent with the page content. Therefore, criterion 2.4.2 Page Titled of WCAG 2.1 is only partially met.

The keyboard focus follows a logical order in most pages of the Website. However, in some sections the focus path is inconsistent or unintuitive, making navigation less convenient for users of assistive technologies. Criterion 2.4.3 Focus Order of WCAG 2.1 is therefore only partially met.

Most links on the Website have a clear and understandable purpose even when read out of context. However, some links use generic texts (e.g. “click here”) or poorly descriptive ones that do not provide sufficient information about the destination or function of the link. Therefore, criterion WCAG 2.4.4 (Link Purpose – In Context) is only partially met.

The Website offers multiple ways to access information. Criterion WCAG 2.4.5 (Multiple Ways) is met.

Most headings on the Website are descriptive and consistent with the content, but there are generic or unclear labels that require improvement. Criterion WCAG 2.4.6 (Headings and Labels) is partially met.

Keyboard focus is visible in most sections of the Website, but in some areas it is absent or not clearly visible. The Website is partially compliant with criterion WCAG 2.4.7 (Focus Visible).

Input Modalities

All Website features are accessible using simple pointer movements, such as single clicks or taps. No complex gestures, such as dragging or combined movements, are required to activate content or functions. The Website therefore meets criterion WCAG 2.5.1 (Pointer Gestures).

Actions triggered by the pointer, such as clicks or taps, are executed only on release of the input or include a mechanism that allows the user to cancel or confirm the action. The Website therefore meets criterion WCAG 2.5.2 (Pointer Cancellation).

The correspondence between accessible name and visible label is respected in most interactive elements. However, some components present slight discrepancies that may cause confusion when used with assistive technologies. Criterion WCAG 2.5.3 (Label in Name) is therefore only partially met.

The Website does not have features that are activated by physical movement of the device, such as shaking or rotation. Therefore, criterion WCAG 2.5.4 (Motion Actuation) does not apply.

UNDERSTANDABLE

Content and interaction mechanisms must be clear and understandable to everyone.

This involves using plain language, indicating the language of the page, ensuring consistency of labels and actions, and providing effective support when filling in forms and identifying errors.

Readable

The primary language of the Website is correctly declared in the code only on some pages. On other sections, the declaration is absent or incorrect. Therefore, criterion WCAG 3.1.1 Language of Page is only partially met.

The Website contains some parts in a language different from the main one. Some terms or phrases are correctly marked in the code, but others are not. Therefore, criterion WCAG 3.1.2 Language of Parts is partially met.

Predictable

No content on the Website automatically changes state upon receiving keyboard focus. Therefore, criterion WCAG 3.2.1 On Focus is met.

When a user enters data or selects an option, the Website does not change page, open windows or modify content automatically. Everything happens only if the user decides to do so. This meets criterion WCAG 3.2.2 On Input.

Recurring elements, such as headers, menus and footers, maintain a consistent position and structure across all pages of the Website, facilitating navigation for the user. This is compliant with criterion WCAG 3.2.3 Consistent Navigation.

Most elements performing the same function on different pages of the Website are labelled consistently, but some labels are not uniform. This may reduce the predictability of interaction for users, particularly those using assistive technologies. Criterion WCAG 3.2.4 Consistent Identification is therefore only partially met.

Input Assistance

The Website correctly identifies errors in forms in many sections, but in some areas the messages are absent, unclear or difficult to find. This may hinder the user in correcting the information entered. Criterion WCAG 3.3.1 Error Identification is therefore only partially met.

All input fields on the Website lack clear labels or instructions specifying their function, making completion difficult for the user. Therefore, criterion WCAG 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions is not met.

Some error messages provide useful guidance on how to correct errors in forms, but in other sections of the Website the information is absent or unclear. Criterion WCAG 3.3.3 Error Suggestion is therefore only partially met.

The Website offers mechanisms to review, confirm or cancel some critical operations, such as the submission of personal data or the confirmation of an order. However, in other cases these tools are not present or are not easily accessible to the user. Criterion WCAG 3.3.4 Error Prevention (Legal, Financial, Data) is therefore only partially met.

ROBUST

Digital content must be developed in a robust way, i.e. compatible with a wide range of browsers, devices and assistive technologies.

Correctly structured code enables safe and reliable use, ensuring that features are recognised and usable by all users, including those using screen readers or other accessibility tools.

Compatible

The source code of the Website is correctly structured in most sections, but presents some syntactic irregularities (such as unclosed or improperly nested tags) that could hinder interpretation by assistive technologies. Requirement WCAG 4.1.1 (Parsing) is only partially met.

The Website partially meets criterion WCAG 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value). Most interactive elements are correctly identified by name, role and value. However, some components still do not expose this information consistently, limiting accessibility for users of assistive technologies.

The Website only partially meets criterion WCAG 4.1.3 (Status Messages). Some messages informing the user of interface changes, such as confirmations or errors, are correctly announced by assistive technologies, while others are not perceivable or are not read automatically, partially limiting accessibility for people with visual disabilities.

CONCLUSIONS

This statement is drawn up on the basis of a self-assessment conducted in accordance with current legislation and is subject to periodic review, particularly in the event of significant changes to the website or regulatory updates. The website owner is committed to ensuring fair and inclusive access to its digital content and invites users to report any difficulties or suggestions by writing to info@emilcotoni.it, in order to continuously improve the accessibility of the website.

#section_640548657 {
 padding-top: 50px;
 padding-bottom:
